DESCRIPTION:The ensemble music of our days is the focus of this concert. The road network of the United States of America inspired the Swiss-German Michael Pelzel to write a sound journey through spaces\, people and buildings. Contrast\, lively rhythm and surprise dominate Chiffre II\, a work written in 1983 that evokes the music of Edgard Varèse. The concert ends with the long-awaited premiere in Portugal of a new work by the Artist in Residence\, the German Enno Poppe\, right after the world premiere at the Lucerne Festival.
